Common questions
The arrow points in the wrong direction
This is almost always compass calibration rather than the Qibla calculation. Hold the phone flat and move it in a figure-eight a few times. Keep it away from magnets, speakers, car dashboards, and cases with magnetic closures or MagSafe rings, which pull the iPhone's magnetometer off true.
It says location is unavailable
The Qibla direction depends on where you are. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, make sure it is on, then allow access for Show Qibla. Indoors, a location fix can take a moment or need a window nearby.
Does the app track my location?
No. Your location is used on the device to calculate the direction and distance to Mecca. It is never sent anywhere and never leaves your iPhone.
Why does the app show ads?
Advertising keeps the app free for everyone. Ads are non-personalized, and the app does not use tracking identifiers or ask for tracking permission.
